Rex is seeking active, adaptable and reliable individuals to join our Adelaide team as Aircraft Support Officers. If you love being outdoors and doing physical work, we have multiple vacancies in part-time and casual capacities.
About the role
As an Aircraft Support Officer at Rex, you’ll play a big part in getting our aircraft to their destination safely and on time. From making sure customer baggage gets to the right place, to marshalling aircraft to their parking spot, you’ll learn a variety of roles, so no two days are ever the same.
Duties and responsibilities
- Conduct safe receipt, dispatch and marshalling of planes
- Operate equipment including ground power, air conditioning, and toilet servicing units
- Carefully load and unload baggage and cargo and ensure everything is stowed securely
- Reconcile baggage and cargo to ensure everything gets to the right place
- Provide assistance to customers who need extra help with boarding and disembarking
- Assist with cleaning and presenting planes to create the best experience for our customers
- Operate radios to coordinate with team members and leading hands
- Comply with company safety policies and standard operating procedures
Key selection criteria
- Physical fitness to support safe manual handling in all weather conditions
- Capability to operate with safety, reliability and performance front of mind
- Sound decision making skills and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
- Proficient in use of technology
- Hold or have the ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card
- Hold a current and unrestricted South Australian Driver’s Licence
- Ability to work a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
