The Role

 Position Responsibilities

  • Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on aircraft and aircraft components under the direction of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
  • Participate in aircraft recovery when necessary.
  • Service and clean hangar, tools and ground equipment as directed by the engineering supervisors.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Minimum Education to Year 11
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Willingness to accept the work environment of aircraft line maintenance and heavy maintenance, including component repair and refurbishment maintenance
  • A high level of motivation with a team-focused work ethic
  • Flexibility with working hours
  • Working knowledge of WH&S procedures
  • A valid driver’s licence
  • Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card
  • Demonstrated interest in Aviation and Aircraft
  • Willingness to relocate to pursue an Aviation Apprenticeship
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude (exhibit/display a recent project or assignment that will support your mechanical aptitude at interview)

Preferred Selection Criteria:

  • Cert II in Aeroskills
  • Cert IV theory credits in Aeroskills
  • Passes in Mathematics, English and Physics is desirable

Wage rates and conditions apply as per the Regional Express Aircraft Engineers Agreement 2021 – 2025.
