Rex is seeking applications for a suitably qualified individual to join the Adelaide Operation in the full time role of Leading Hand - Aircraft Support Officer.About the roleThe Leading Hand - Aircraft Support Officer reports to the Ramp Manager and is responsible for the supervision of the Adelaide ramp team, ensuring safe and efficient ground operations. Duties and responsibilitiesSupervise a team of Aircraft Support OfficersOversee safe and efficient ground operations across Ramp, Baggage, Freight and Catering functionsCoordinate staff allocation/utilisation and overtime allocationLiaise with internal and external stakeholders including Ops, Engineering, GSE and Airport AuthorityEnsure adherence to company policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with Safety Management System (SMS)Complete administrative tasks and reporting requirementsParticipate in identification of opportunities to improve staff performance and port productivityAssist with training and provide coaching to staff Assist with operational duties when requiredKey selection criteriaExperience in leading an operational team in Aviation, Transportation or Freight sectorStrong leadership capability with a commitment to safety, reliability and performanceStrong interpersonal skills with an ability to deliver direction and feedback effectivelySound decision making skills and adaptability in a dynamic work environment Proficient in use of technology Hold or have the ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification CardHold a current and unrestricted South Australian Driver’s Licence Ability to work a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidaysHow to applyPlease apply via the 'Apply Now' button below by 17 October 2025.
