As part of the Rex team, you’ll help support regional Australia and strengthen the future of regional aviation. The Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Airports Commercial Manager to lead Rex’s national airport commercial arrangements. Reporting to the National Airports Manager and working closely with all areas of the business, you will lead commercial and contractual negotiations with airports, suppliers and ground handling partners, while undertaking commercial analysis and business reporting to support informed decision-making within the Airports department. Key Responsibilities:Assist with negotiations with airports in relation to commercial agreements, aeronautical services agreements, lease agreements, airport charges and associated commercial arrangements.Manage relationships with airports regarding property, lease sites and other airport-related commercial matters.Manage commercial relationships with ground handling agents and airlines for which Rex provides ground handling services.Lead the procurement and logistics arrangement of assets and equipment required to support airport and ground operations.Undertake commercial analysis and financial modelling to identify opportunities to minimise costs and maximise commercial value across the Airports function.Prepare commercial reports, analyse financial information and provide recommendations to the National Airports Manager and relevant stakeholders.Prepare external submissions and tender documentation.Review and verify invoices relating to airport charges, services and other airport-related expenditure.Build strong, collaborative relationships across Rex and with external stakeholders, promoting a safety-focused, commercially aware and operationally effective approach to airport operations.Maintain a safe, secure and compliant working environment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, the company Safety Management System (SMS), and applicable Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies.Perform other duties as directed by the National Airports Manager or delegate. Key selection criteria: Demonstrated experience in commercial management, contract negotiation, procurement, aviation, airport operations or a related discipline.Proven commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, influence outcomes and achieve positive commercial results.Tertiary qualifications in an Aviation, Commercial, Business or related discipline.Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret commercial information, identify trends and make sound recommendations.Highly task-driven, with a proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritise workloads, and multitask in a fast-paced, operational environment.Professional, well-presented, and enthusiastic about supporting regional aviation.Proven ability to work independently and to be self-motivated.Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.Ability to meet the requirements to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).  How to apply:Please submit your application, including your resume and a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria, to jobsrexgroup@rex.com.au by COB Friday, 11 September 2026. The Role
