An excellent opportunity exists to join the REX Engineering Team as a full-time Workshop Technician, based in Wagga Wagga, NSW. We’re looking for someone to join our Engine Workshop as a Technician, working on CT7 gas turbine engines and components for our Saab 340 fleet. If you want to be in aviation, love working with your hands and have always wanted to work on turbine engines, this could be for you.Reporting:This position reports to the Engine Shop Supervisor.Position Responsibilities:Repair, servicing and maintenance of CT7 gas turbine engines & componentsUpkeep of workshop & equipmentCompletion of appropriate documentation Essential Selection Criteria:Demonstrated mechanical aptitudeAbility to follow instructions and work in a team environment.Ability to work under independently and adhere to deadlines.Working knowledge of WHS proceduresA valid driver’s licenceWell-developed verbal and written communication skillsReasonable level of computer skillsMeet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity CardHigh level of visual acuityPreferred Selection Criteria:Cert 4 in mechanical trade industry or Cert 4 in Aeroskills - MechanicalGE CT7 or other Gas turbine engine experienceKnowledge of CASA regulationsConditions:Wage rates and conditions apply as per the Regional Express Aircraft Engineers Agreement.To Apply:Please apply via the 'Apply Now' button below.
