Join our Compliance & Quality Assurance team to plan and deliver risk-based audits across Flight Operations and Ground Operations. You'll assist with development of the audit program and checklists aligned with CASA regulations and company procedures, lead audit meetings with operational stakeholders and prepare clear, actionable reports and recommendations whilst supporting the Group Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining organisational assurance activities.
What You'll Do
- Plan, coordinate and conduct risk-based internal, external and quality audits across Flight and Ground Operations,
- Develop audit programs, plans and checklists in line with regulatory requirements and company procedures
- Lead audit opening and closing meetings, engaging confidently with operational stakeholders
- Assess compliance against CASA legislation, industry standards and company policies
- Prepare high-quality audit reports, executive summaries and risk-based recommendations
- Manage corrective actions through to completion, monitoring progress and verifying effectiveness
- Conduct investigations into safety, quality and compliance matters
- Monitor changes to aviation legislation and support implementation of regulatory change across the Rex Group
What We're Looking For
- Aviation industry experience, ideally in compliance, quality assurance, safety, flight operations or airport operations
- Demonstrated experience conducting audits, investigations or compliance activities in a regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of CASA regulations, Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Quality Management Systems
- Strong report-writing and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of the business
- Ability to interpret legislation and apply it practically, with sound judgement and analytical rigour
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of a task
- A team player who is also able to work autonomously
- Lead Auditor qualifications and/or aviation auditing experience highly regarded
- WHS qualifications (e.g. Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent) highly regarded
