The Role
At Rex, engineering integrity and safety are fundamental to everything we do. We are seeking a suitability qualified and highly motivated Engineering professional to fill the role of Line Maintenance Supervisor (LMS) based in Adelaide, who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of aircraft safety and reliability.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about engineering excellence, confident in working within regulated aviation environments, and dedicated to supporting safe, efficient operations while contributing to the long-term success of our regional network.
Reporting:
This position reports to the Regional Maintenance Manager - Southern.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with engineering procedures and certification requirements as identified in the Rex company manuals and as required by the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations, for the Adelaide engineering base.
- Ensure the Adelaide engineering base infrastructure is maintained.
- Implement change driven by quality system findings or safety system reporting.
Duties:
- Leadership of the Adelaide engineering base and participation in the broader Rex engineering leadership group.
- Management of engineering and stores staff including rostering, training, policy and procedural conformity.
- Production planning of the upcoming maintenance activities in Adelaide including, co-ordination of manpower, equipment, tooling, data and aeronautical products to ensure the timely completion of all maintenance activities.
- Co-ordination of communication with the CAMO around maintenance activity, completed documentation, weight and balance changes, defect reporting and disruption management.
- Oversight of the Adelaide store facility.
- Cost control and implementation of productivity and efficiency gains.
- Amendment of all regulatory and maintenance data held by Adelaide engineering.
- Management of the serviceability of tooling and GSE.
- Management of the Adelaide hangar facility.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Aviation engineering leadership experience.
- Proven ability to manage a close knit team, and work autonomously to achieve the desire business outcomes.
- Experience in airline engineering operations.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines in a high workload environment.
