Rex is seeking expressions of interest for suitably experienced and reliable individuals to join the Adelaide Airport team in the part-time positions of Customer Service Officer and Aircraft Support Officer.
Reporting:
These positions report to the relevant department manager - Airport Manager (Customer Service) and Ramp Manager (Ramp).
Aircraft Support Officer
Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform various aircraft handling tasks, including marshalling aircraft and ensuring the safe movement coordination of aircraft on the ground
- Hold Safety as a core value
- Assist in the loading and unloading of baggage and cargo
- Ensure proper handling, sorting, and delivery of baggage to the designated areas while adhering to safety and security procedures
- Support ramp operations, such as the positioning of ground support equipment, waste cart, and potable water activities.
- Operate and maintain ground handling equipment, such as tugs, loaders, and belt loaders
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, pilots, and other airport personnel to ensure efficient operations
Selection Criteria:
- Previous experience in aviation or in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory
- Highly motivated and interested in being part of a small and talented team
- Hold or be able to obtain Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC)
- Hold a Current Driver’s Licence and have the ability to hold an Airport authority to drive airside license (ADA)
- Ability to work in a team environment and a commitment to on time performance
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor environments
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Positive and professional attitude, well organised
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer Service Officer
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide domestic and regional check-in services for Rex at Sydney Airport.
- Reservation and ticket sales including collection of monies.
- Pre and post flight duties.
- Editing of flights.
- Sales reporting and recording functions as appropriate.
- Assisting with the receipt and dispatch of aircraft including operation of aerobridge if required.
- Computer system operations (SABRE).
- Departure Control System (DCS) knowledge.
- Rex Lounge duties, including processing of guests, restocking and cleaning
- Assisting special needs customers.
- Passenger marshalling
- Assist customers with damaged and lost baggage enquiries
- Comply with requirements set out in the company’s safety policy and standard operating procedures.
- Other duties as requested by the Airport Manager
Selection Criteria:
- Previous airline customer service experience essential
- GDS experience essential
- Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).
- Able to work shift work that includes early starts, evenings and weekend work.
- Ability to work in a team environment and a commitment to on time performance.
- Previous customer service experience mandatory.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Outstanding image and presentation
- Computer literacy of a high degree.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
