Senior Base Engineer – Perth

(Administrator Appointed) An opportunity exists in the Rex Engineering Team, for an experienced, highly motivated and suitably qualified individual in the position of Senior Base Engineer for Perth. This position is full time and reports to the Regional Maintenance Manager - Southern. Position Responsibilities:Ensuring compliance with Engineering Procedures and Certification requirements in their particular area of responsibility and;Maintaining at their Maintenance Base the engineering infrastructure necessary to ensure that all engineering activities are conducted safely and compliantly.Monitoring and controlling costs associated with aircraft and GSE maintenance.Description of Duties:Provide proactive leadership of the Perth Engineering based staff and participate in broader engineering leadership directives.Ensure schedule based rostering to meet contract requirements.Review in advance the planned maintenance activities to be performed.Co-ordination of manpower, equipment, tooling, data and aeronautical products to ensure the timely completion of all maintenance activities.Monitor and control of engineering OTP, efficiency, costs and other KPI’s at the Perth Engineering base.Amendment of all Regulatory and Maintenance Data held at their Base.Ensure the serviceability of tooling and equipment and the management of a preventative maintenance/service program for engineering ground support equipment.Monitor training & performance requirements for engineering staff.Monitor, report on & participate in WHS issues & directives.Other duties as directed by AMO leadership.Essential Selection Criteria:Proven self-starter with a flexible attitude.Proven ability to manage a close knit team, but also have an ability to work unsupervised.A demonstrated ability to show initiative.Ability to manage strict deadlines.Experience in airline operations.Based in Perth.Working knowledge of regulatory requirements.Hold a CASA B1 or B2 licence & be eligible for Saab 340 type training.Conditions:Wage rates and conditions will be discussed with the successful applicant.To apply:Please submit your application with a current copy of your CV and cover letter addressing the above criteria by 14 February 2025.
