We’re looking for a creative and organised Social Media & Marketing Specialist to help bring our brand to life across social and digital channels. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating content, planning campaigns, and using insights to continuously improve performance.
This is a full-time role based at our Head Office in Mascot, Sydney, working within our Corporate Communications team where you will play a key role in shaping how Rex shows up across social media while supporting broader marketing activity.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for the planning, creation, publishing, and optimisation of social media content across key platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, and internal channels. Alongside this, you’ll support the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns, including EDMs and occasional print advertising.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys balancing creative execution with structured planning, collaboration, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content
- Create and publish high-quality social media content tailored to each platform
- Plan and manage social media content calendars aligned with brand, campaign, and business objectives
- Ideate, script, film, and edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories)
- Write clear, engaging, on-brand captions and social copy
- Engage with online communities by monitoring comments, messages, and relevant trends
- Monitor, analyse, and report on social media performance, using insights to refine content and approach
Marketing & Campaign Support
- Support the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across owned channels
- Build, schedule, and optimise EDMs as required
- Write, edit and publish high-quality and engaging content for inflight magazine & brochures.
- Track, analyse and report on marketing performance
- Support paid social activity by building and optimising ads in Meta and TikTok Ads Manager
- Coordinate content and assets to support broader campaigns, including occasional print advertising, working with internal teams or external suppliers
- Liaise with external media agencies, suppliers and tourism partners
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver campaigns and promotions
- Stay up to date with emerging platforms, tools, and best practices across social and digital marketing
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, content quality, and campaign effectiveness
- Provide support to the Corporate Communications team as required.
About You
You’re a proactive and organised marketer with a strong eye for detail and a genuine passion for social media and content creation. You’re comfortable managing multiple priorities, and adapting to changing needs while maintaining quality and consistency.
You bring:
- A degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Solid photography, videography, and video editing skills
- Experience using tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar
- A good understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics
- Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices,
- Experience tracking performance metrics and using insights to improve engagement
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A collaborative, calm, and positive approach
