An excellent opportunity exists for an ideal candidate to join Rex as a part-time Catering Officer at Melbourne Airport.Reporting:The Catering Officer will report to the Ramp and Catering Manager.Position Responsibilities:Aircraft loading and unloading and assist with the completion of required documentationMarshalling of catering vehicles onto and away from aircraftLoading and unloading of catering vehicles including maintaining appropriate stock levelsGeneral warehouse duties, including but not limited to;Receiving stock from suppliersTemperature recording of food, fridges and vehiclesBuilding or replenishing food, bar and stores drawers in accordance with specificationsGeneral stock counts and stock rotationAssembling flights sets in accordance with specificationsCounting and reconciliation of bar sheets (in Port Supervisors absence)Ensuring cleanliness of the warehouse in maintainedAssist with daily GSE checks, refuelling of GSE and reporting of unserviceabilityBe aware and assist with the safety and security of all personnel on the aircraft apronReport any accidents and/or incidents in the correct mannerAdhere to all Company policies and proceduresAssist with Ramp duties as requiredSelection Criteria:Previous airline experience is preferredAble to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) and Airside Driver’s LicenceCurrent driver’s licence.Current MR licence desirableAble to work shift work that includes early starts, evenings, and weekend workHigh standard of physical fitnessHigh standard of professionalismAbility to work in a team environment and a commitment to on-time performanceAbility to work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditionsJoin our Rex team now and enjoy many benefits likeFull on-the-job and upskill training provided â no previous experience is neededRex Group Staff travel and flight benefitsStaff industry discounts incl.
