An excellent opportunity exists for suitable candidates to join Rex in the part-time role of Catering/Warehouse Officer, based at Sydney Airport.
Reporting:
The Catering Officer will report to the Sydney Catering Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
- Aircraft loading and unloading and assist with the completion of required documentation
- Marshalling of catering vehicles onto and away from aircraft
- Loading and unloading of catering vehicles including maintaining appropriate stock levels
- General warehouse duties, including but not limited to;
- Ordering and receiving stock from suppliers
- Temperature recording of food, fridges and vehicles
- Building or replenishing food, bar and stores drawers in accordance with specifications
- General stock counts and stock rotation
- Assembling flights sets in accordance with specifications
- Ensuring cleanliness of the warehouse in maintained
- Ensure that warehouse vehicles are maintained
- Report any accidents and/or incidents in the correct manner
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures
- Other duties as requested by the Catering Supervisor
Selection Criteria:
- Previous airline experience is preferred
- Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) and Airside Driver’s Licence
- Current driver’s licence
- Willingness to obtain MR licence is highly desirable
- Able to work shift work that includes early starts, evenings, and weekend work
- High standard of physical fitness
- High standard of professionalism
- Ability to work in a team environment and a commitment to on-time performance
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions
No experience is required. On-the-job training is provided.
