Corporate Communications Assistant

An exciting opportunity exists to join Rex Airlines as a Corporate Communications Assistant on a full-time basis based at our head office in Mascot, NSW.This is a hands-on role where you will get the opportunity work on a wide range of projects.The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, creative and organized individual with a passion for communications and an interest for aviation, airlines or tourism.We work in a fast-paced team so you will need to be a self-starter and a great problem solver who thrives under pressure.This is an entry-level role with potential for growth within our growing airline.Position Responsibilities:Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Rex Group of Companies, including brands, products and servicesPropose and draft engaging written and visual content (which may include video, photo or infographic assets), for various platforms including:Inflight magazineCustomer communicationsSocial media platformsInternal communicationsAssist in the management of Rex’s social media channels, including working with relevant teams across the organisation to:Strategise, develop and publish content for multiple channelsReport on performance and key metricsEffectively respond to customer feedback and complaints received through social media platforms and handle them in in a timely and professional manner by utilising our reservation software and an understanding of airline operationsEvent assistanceWebsite content managementBuild and maintain relationships with key partnersWork with internal and external stakeholders to assist on a wide scope of projects including but not limited to communications initiatives, collateral and new products & servicesAdministrative support for the Corporate Communications Office and other duties as reasonably requestedInterstate and regional travel may be required from time to timeSkills and experience:Excellent organisational and project management skills with an attention to detailStrong teamwork and collaboration skills and ability to be a self-starter and work independentlyExcellent written communication skillsGood grasp of various communication channels, especially social mediaGood phone mannerAbility to grasp product knowledgeExcellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracyGood time management and organisation skillsProficient at navigating various Outlook, MS Office applications and adept at learning new computer softwareDesirable:       Passion for airline or travel related industryExperience in customer service/handling customer complaintsExperience utilisting social media management toolsPhotography and/or videography interest/experienceAre you ready to take the first step in your aviation or communications career?
