Rex is Australia’s largest independent regional and domestic airline operating a fleet of 60 Saab 340 and six Boeing 737-800NG aircraft to 61 destinations throughout all states in Australia. In addition to the airline Rex, the Rex Group comprises wholly owned subsidiaries Pel-Air Aviation (air freight, aeromedical and charter operator) and the two pilot academies, Australian Airline Pilot Academy in Wagga Wagga and Ballarat.Expressions of interest are sought from qualified and motivated individuals to undertake the role of Corporate Communications Manager based in Mascot.Reporting to the General Manager – Corporate Services, the ideal candidate will need to be all-rounder in internal communication, public affairs, media relations, and events management. As the Corporate Communications Manager, your primary responsibilities include but not limited to:Leadership and day-to-day management of the marketing, creative and communication functions of the Company, which includes the Customer Advocacy team.Support the development and delivery of communications which may include writing, editing and proofreading content.Identify and pitch external communication opportunities for maximum Company exposure.Oversight of Customer Advocacy role, working closely with Customer Contact Centre and Airports in all related areas of customer service including customer recovery and the management of the active tracking and resolution of reported incidents.Oversight of the Group’s marketing strategy, including brand awareness initiatives and advertising campaigns, including creative work.Part of the company’s incident/disruption management system to ensure customers are effectively communicated with during significant incidents or disruptions and to minimise damage to the Company’s reputational integrity.Plan, manage, and coordinate company events.Assist with the coordination of the Group’s external communications as required.
