DAMP & Dangerous Goods Coordinator

Expressions of interest are sought for a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual to become part of the Rex Human Factors Group (comprising of Safety, QA/Compliance, Security and Human Factors training) as a DAMP & Dangerous Goods Coordinator based in Sydney.Reporting To:This position reports to the Group Security ManagerPosition Responsibilities:Liaise with regulatory authorities and external parties in relation to DAMP and Dangerous Goods matters.Fulfil DAMP Contact Officer duties for the Rex Group in accordance with CASR 99.Administer, manage and maintain the Drug & Alcohol Management Plan.Liaise with DAMP contractors and the DAMP Medical Review Officer on all relevant aspects of the DAMP manual.Fulfil the role of Dangerous Goods Instructor for the Rex Group in accordance with CASR 92.Administer, manage and maintain the Group Dangerous Goods Manual.Manage the development, maintenance and conduct of the Dangerous Goods training courses, compliant with CASR Part 92.Assist in the arrangement of DAMP testingAssist with the interpretation of the various Dangerous Goods regulations on behalf of:– Management,– Customers,– Operational personnel, and– Advising Rex Group management and ground staff of changes to Dangerous Goods regulations or procedures.Chair the Dangerous Goods Steering Committee.Initiate and implement changes to any Dangerous Goods documentation and procedures to incorporate new or changed ICAO Technical Instructions and IATA DG Regulations for implementation.Coordinate investigation of Dangerous Goods incidents and accidents.Represent the Rex Group in industry Dangerous Goods forumsGrant operator approvals in accordance with the Rex Group Dangerous Goods Manual.Assessing the certification of Dangerous Goods External Training Organisations, andOther tasks reasonably assigned by Management.Selection CriteriaHigh attention to detail and accuracy;Proven organisational abilities;Knowledge and experience with CASR 92 and CASR 99 (desirable)Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment;Highly developed written communication skills, with demonstrated report writing ability;Lead auditor qualifications (desirable)Capable of developing and delivering training coursesConditions:Conditions and salary will be discussed with successful applicant.To Apply:Please apply via the 'Apply Now' button below by 6 May2024.Rex is an equal opportunity employer AUD Sydney 2000

Selection Criteria

  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Proven organisational abilities;
  • Knowledge and experience with CASR 92 and CASR 99 (desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Highly developed written communication skills, with demonstrated report writing ability;
  • Lead auditor qualifications (desirable)
  • Capable of developing and delivering training courses
