Rex is Australia’s largest independent regional and domestic airline operating a fleet of 61 Saab 340 and 6 Boeing 737-800NG aircraft to 61 destinations throughout New South Wales, South Australia, Melbourne, Queensland and Western Australia. In addition to the airline Rex, the Rex Group comprises wholly owned subsidiaries Pel-Air Aviation (air freight, aeromedical and charter operator) and the two pilot academies, Australian Airline Pilot Academy in Wagga Wagga and Ballarat.An exciting opportunity is available for a suitably experienced individual in the full-time role of Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications based at our Head Office in Mascot, NSW.Rex is continuing the expansion of domestic operations, launching new customer programs and implement a range of new customer experience initiatives. This role will be pivotal in introducing new customers to the Rex brand and driving engagement from both new and existing customers across the regional and domestic networks. The role requires a dynamic marketing professional looking to lead and nurture a growing team. You will have a track record in driving growth and acquisition of new customers as well as engaging existing customers as we deliver on our growth plans.This is a hands-on role where you will get to work on a wide range of marketing projects and initiatives with teams right across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude can set a vision and roll their sleeves up with the team to deliver on agreed activity and initiatives.Summary of Key responsibilities and tasksLead the airlines marketing strategy, brand development and communication activitiesDevelop innovative communication and marketing activities to build brand awareness and drive demand generationOwn and lead all go to market campaign activity, leading internal marketing and design teams, and managing external agencies and partners, across digital and traditional channels.Develop and implement new customer segmentation models and ensuring we are continually optimising our marketing spend with highly targeted marketing activityPartner with tourism organisations and aviation businesses to deliver on strategic partnership marketing plans and agreed partnership marketing activitiesLead internal and external corporate communication activities, working collaboratively across the organisation to ensure engagement and communication across stakeholders, shareholders, customers and staff.Collaborate across the organisation, and with external partners, to develop exciting new digital and physical customer experiences programs.Skills and experienceA degree in marketing, communication or related field; or equivalent experience10+ years’ experience managing, nurturing, and leading a high performing teamsYou will have extensive experience leading media agency and marketing partnerships, having delivered successful brand and acquisition marketing campaigns.A deep understanding of, and experience with, digital, SEO/SEM, social, web and e-commerce communication, marketing automation and CRM softwareExperience developing and leading marketing partnershipsStrong organisational and project management skills with an attention to detailStrong analytical and reporting writing skills.Desirable Experience in airline or travel related marketingExperience in event management, social media communicationSalary and Conditions will be discussed with the successful applicant.To apply:Please submit your application with CV and cover letter addressing the above criteria by Friday, 2 September 2022.
