Graphic Design Lead

Rex is Australia’s largest independent regional and domestic airline operating a fleet of 60 Saab 340 and six Boeing 737-800NG aircraft to 61 destinations throughout all states in Australia. In addition to the airline Rex, the Rex Group comprises wholly owned subsidiaries Pel-Air Aviation (air freight, aeromedical and charter operator) and the two pilot academies, Australian Airline Pilot Academy in Wagga Wagga and Ballarat.Rex is seeking a suitably qualified and motivated individual to undertake the role of Graphic Design Lead.  No one day is the same in this role, and you will really get to harness your passion and creativity for great design.  We are looking for someone who is excited to extend their abilities across a range of commercial, operations and digital teams as well as external tourism and airport partners.About youThe role requires a dynamic and driven senior graphic designer to join a growing team.The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, be extremely well organized and is looking for a position that will provide plenty of creative freedom. We work in a fast-paced team so you will need to be able to thrive under pressure, and be a great problem solver.You will bring a passion for design, conceptual creativity, and a real attention to detail. You must be able to work independently as well as part of a team and have the ability to manage a junior graphic designer and other casual designers as needed.Key responsibilities and tasksDeveloping brand identities, as well as adhere to existing brand guidelines and design systemsConceptualise and create assets for end to end digital marketing campaigns including: landing pages, eDMs, digital marketing web banners, social media content and out of homeDesigning print ads of multiple sizes for our in-flight magazine, as well as the occasional newspaper advertsDevelop and update customer collateral and signage for airports, lounges, cabin crew and operations teams (both digital and print)Photography as needed for events, internal stock photography. Including retouching and minor editingDesigning creative concept and layout for annual reports, half-year reports, editorial content and other corporate collateral, publications and presentationsDesign collateral and content to support the sales organisationManagement of a Junior Graphic DesignerSkills and experience3+ years’ minimum experience (in-house preferred)A degree in Visual Communication / Graphic DesignExceptional hands-on skills in Adobe Creative Suite, in particular: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Acrobat and Microsoft OfficeExperience in photography: for events, landscape, retouching, minor editing.
