Group Engineering Procurement Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and highly experienced individual to join the Rex Group Engineering team as the Group Engineering Procurement Manager. This position will provide support to the Rex Group and National Jet Express (NJE), and will be working closely with the senior management team on a daily basis for both companies. The successful candidate will ideally be based at one of our offices in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.Reporting:This position reports to Group Engineering Management.Position Role and Responsibilities:Leadership of group procurement team, over multiple company operations.Develop procurement programs and strategies.  Forecasting of group aircraft component overhaul and parts requirements.Plan and book scheduled component overhaul and repairs with repair vendors.Plan and purchase parts required to ensure repair vendor can complete repairs in timely TAT.Supply and manage any company inventories been held by external repair vendors.Negotiate and manage repair and overhaul agreements for Group components.Negotiate and manage Aircraft maintenance agreements external to the REX group.Negotiate and manage the lease of major components.Negotiate and manage Group freight contracts.Negotiate and manage rotable part consignment and pooling agreements.Build Group procurement team, manage staff and staff development.Develop and ensure Group procurement has robust procedure, policy and staff redundancy in place.  Be an active member of the Group Engineering Management Council.Be able to travel to supervise staff across the Group engineering bases.  Selection Criteria:Sound understanding on contract and commercial negotiations.Ability to model forecast demands.Develop management strategies, present for approval and implement.Build business cases for capital expenditure, present to executive level management.Manage cash flow programs relating to Group engineering.Reasonable comprehension of the related CASA regulatory requirements for aircraft parts and components.Able to build and develop a cohesive procurement team.Demonstrate leadership and contribute to boarder engineering planning and discussions.Salary and Conditions will be discussed with the successful applicant. To Apply:Please apply via the 'Apply Now' button below by Friday, 5 April 2024.  AUD Sydney 2000
