Ramp & Catering Manager

An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified individual in the role of Ramp & Catering Manager at Adelaide Airport. This is a full-time position that involves the direct oversight of Rex’s team of Aircraft Support Officers and contracted ground handling agent. This role leads and establishes priorities for the team to ensure ground employees meet or exceed Rex’s objectives for safety and compliance, on-time performance, baggage handling, and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Ramp Operations Manager.Position responsibilitiesOversight of Ramp and Catering activities in accordance with company policies and proceduresEnsure Ramp Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Protocols are adhered to at all timesLiaise   with   airport   authorities   and   external   stakeholders (including attending meetings on Rex’s behalf)Maintain close and effective business relationships and liaise with other company departments on operational mattersDevelop, implement and control effective rosters and monitor daily staff utilization Ensure serviceability and presentation of company equipment and facilitiesInvestigate safety reports and recommend safety measures for preventing further occurrencesAssist with mishandled, lost and damaged baggageEnsuring compliance by staff with the company code of conduct and Safety Management System (SMS)Review reports to ascertain data required for planning department operationsEnsure high levels of work safety and compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislationInvestigate all service failures including chargeable delays, baggage/freight mishandlingProvide support to the Ramp Operations Manager and ADL Airport Manager where requiredUndertake payroll processing and other administrate functionsDemonstrate leadership, decision making and organizational skillsLead, manage and develop team members including coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to achieve high levels of performance and service excellenceOther duties as reasonably requested by the National Airports Manager, Ramp Operations Manager and/or ADL Airport ManagerSelection CriteriaMinimum of 3 years Airline/Industry experienceDemonstrated experience in leading and managing peopleExcellent organizational and leadership skills with attention to detailStrong knowledge of ground handling operations and servicesAbility to manage changing priorities and work under pressureMust possess strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, OutlookExcellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skillsAbility to manage changing priorities and work under pressureAble to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) and ADA (Authority to Drive Airside)To apply:Please apply via the 'Apply Now' button below, by close of business Friday,05 April 2024. Regional Express is an equal opportunity employer AUD Adelaide 5000
