Rex is Australia’s largest independent regional and domestic airline operating a fleet of 61 Saab 340 and 9 Boeing 737-800NG aircraft to 58 destinations throughout all states in Australia. In addition to the airline Rex, the Rex Group comprises wholly owned subsidiaries Pel-Air Aviation (air freight, aeromedical and charter operator) and the two pilot academies, Australian Airline Pilot Academy in Wagga Wagga and Ballarat.REX is seeking a suitably qualified individual to join the REX AMO team as a full-time Stores Person, located in Melbourne.This position is responsible for the effective and efficient execution of the Company’s aircraft stores’ procedures and providing general support. It is an entry level, permanent full-time position.Position ResponsibilitiesReceipt, issue, storage and dispatch of aircraft parts, tools and non-aircraft items.Work on a shift roster and on standby if and when required.Ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency is maintained.Run stores compliantly to the Rex 145 MOE and CASA RegulationsMaintain the cleanliness and security of the StoreMonitor Shelf life items & "Services in Store".Carry out stock takes as required.Ensure that adequate protection is available for all stored items and that stores security is maintainedEnsure the expeditious movement and process of those parts & tooling that are within the control of the stores system and all parts awaiting processingEnsure most efficient use is made of available storage space.Ensure Stock Locations are accurateMonitor Aircraft bins to identify unused stock. (use first in First out principles)Identify and propose opportunities for cost effective improvements to methods and procedures relating to areas of responsibility.Ensure that all practical steps are taken to ensure the safety of those involved in the workplace by identifying all hazards and eliminating, isolating or minimising such as appropriate.
