(Administrators Appointed)Regional Express (Rex) is Australia’s largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of Saab 340 aircraft to 54 destinations throughout Australia.An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified individual to join the Wagga Wagga Engineering Department in the full-time role of Structural/Sheet Metal Engineer.The Structural/Sheet Metal Engineer will report directly to the Base Maintenance Supervisor.Position responsibilities:Carry out Aircraft sheet metal repairs IAW SAAB repair statements and SAAB SRM.Carry out composite repairs IAW SAAB SRM and SAAB repair statements.Assist in corrosion/damage removal & assessmentAssist in development of improved structural repair processes & ICAsMaintain the company sheet metal tooling associated with the sheet metal workshop.Assist in training of structural repair work & sheet metal practicesAdherence to Regional Express’ safety regulationsProvide sheet metal support at other bases & in AOG events.Essential Selection Criteria:Completed a MEA41322 or MEA41318 Certificate IV in Aeroskills â StructuresHave a minimum of 5 years experience in aircraft structural repairsWell-developed verbal and written communication skills.Highly motivated, and enthusiastic attitude.Sound work ethics.Meet the requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity CardPreferred Selection Criteria:Heavy maintenance experienceComposite repair experienceSAAB 340 aircraft experienceNDI experience or approvalsCASA B1 & A1 licenceConditions:Wage rates and conditions will be discussed with the successful applicant.To apply:Please apply via the 'Apply Now' button below by 6 December 2024.Regional Express is an equal opportunity employer AUDWagga Wagga2650
